Plankton (~400)
Novice Stockfish bot on the Chessility ladder. Hangs pieces. Then asks if that was theory.

Win 3 times to unlock the next bot — or to mark Plankton green on the opponents page if you are already at the top.
How they play
Plankton is the ~400 Stockfish bot at the bottom of the Chessility ladder. It hangs pieces, forgets development, and treats every capture as a plan.
Expect random checks, unprovoked queen sorties, and a king that stays in the center too long. When something is free, Plankton often does not notice until you take it.
How to beat them
- Take hanging pieces. Do not hunt ghosts — if a queen or rook is sitting undefended, capture it.
- Develop knights and bishops, castle, then trade into a winning endgame. You do not need brilliancies at this level.
- Win three games to unlock Guppy. Accuracy still counts, so keep choosing the engine’s best move when you can.
Watch for
Your own hanging queen. Plankton will take a free piece if you gift one.
